Concept Northern Special Educational Needs Portal goes Live

A Special Educational Needs company based in Glasgow has chosen LearnAnywhere to provide online learning to its pupils. Alongside employing staff in Glasgow, Concept Northern have a network of remote working teachers who will deliver live lessons via LearnAnywhere. LearnAnywhere's calendar function coupled with DIM DIM (software which allows pupils to attend live lessons over the internet) will enable Concept Northern to improve its level of service delivery and push the boundaries of e-learning within a special educational needs context.

One of the key issues in developing the new learning platform was accessibility and easy of use.

"When you are providing online learning for children with special needs you need to design your system so that screen readers work for for the blind and the disabled. LearnAnywhere has been built to meet the high standards required by law for such a learning audience." Sean Gilligan, Managing Director, WebAnywhere Limited.
